Dataset description

Diploma thesis at the Karl-Franzens-University Graz This diploma thesis deals with the planning and design of a geomorphology adventure path in the Gesäuse National Park and is divided into a theoretical and a part of the results. In the theoretical part, I first discussed the didactic foundations for the conception of an experience path, briefly focusing here on environmental education and informal learning. I also discuss the characteristics, meaning and goals of adventure paths. Special attention is paid to the specific pedagogical requirements for planning the way. The theory part also includes considerations on the choice of the medium PDA (Personal Digital Assistant). Here I discuss the possibilities or limitations of the devices and application possibilities and examples (especially the Webpark project in the Swiss National Park). Finally, in this part also mthe content argumentation of the adventure path takes place. In the final part of the thesis I present my design for the geomorphology experience path. This includes a proposal for the name and logo of the path, overview and detailed maps of the route, as well as the exact graphic and content design of the individual stations. Finally, I am wondering what possibilities could be offered to Gesäuse National Park through the use of PDAs.
