Inspire (HB) — Modelled distribution of habitats under the Habitats Directive (WFS)

Updated map layers for the distribution of habitat types 1110, 1140 and 1170 of the Habitats Directive. The map layer has been created as a result of modelling work “Modernisation of map data of Estonian marine habitats” (UT EMI, 2018). The layers present three of the six habitat types present in the Estonian Sea (according to the Paal (2007) Habitats Directive Handbook). National environmental monitoring and monitoring data collected from various relevant projects were used as input data. When using the data, it should be remembered that these are layers of modeled distribution. The larger the distances between the test points, the lower the reliability of the maps produced.
