Physico-chemical analytical results analysed by water authorities and water research institutes under public control during water quality monitoring. Environmental management and non-administrative research institutes carry out regular monitoring at around 5 000 observation sites. In addition to these, data have also been collected and collected from other observation sites, e.g. in connection with the one-off basic water quality survey. Each year, more than 60,000 water samples are added to the system. In October 2018, the information system contained 1.4 million samples from 72 000 observation sites, 3.1 million water samples and 31 million analytical and measurement results. The scheme has been reformed in 2016.
The system can be accessed via the graphical user interface found in the Hertta portal and the Open Information service. The technical interface is available through SYKE’s Open Interface service. The material is part of SYKE’s open data (CC BY 4.0).
