Wastewater treatment plants under the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive (UWWTD) include agglomerations, waste water treatment plants and their discharge points under the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive (91/271/EEC).
The Member States of the European Union report to the Commission on the implementation of the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive (91/271/EEC). The reporting obligation applies to all agglomerations with population equivalent (AVL) of more than 2000 agglomerations and their waste water treatment plants. There are numerical minimum requirements for the operation of treatment plants. The reporting data are also openly available.
