Dataset description

Apparatus installed on a hydrometric site to observe and measure a specific magnitude related to hydrology (height or flow). Regarding the observation of water height, it is usually a limnimetric scale. A hydrometric station may carry a height and/or flow rate (directly measured or calculated from a set curve). Each station has one or more sensors (= apparatus measuring a size, height or flow). The station is identified by a code attached to the hydrometric site. This code is without any particular significance and must always be accompanied by the hydrometric site code. Source: Data dictionary “hydrometric referential” version 2.4
