Dataset description

The data set contains the target load classes of road superstructure for the Hamburg city road network. The dimensioning-relevant load B (sum of the weighted equivalent 10-t-axle transitions in the utilisation period) for the determination of the target load classes was determined in accordance with method 1.2 of the Guidelines for Standardisation of the Upper Construction of Transport Areas (RStO). With the exception of the gradient factor fz, all other factors included in the corresponding formula were determined from the data stored in the Hamburg Road Information Bank (e.g. average daily heavy traffic load, lane width, number of lanes). Only for the purpose of determining the gradient factors are no network data available, therefore a maximum longitudinal inclination ≤ 6 % has been used for the calculations. Furthermore, the calculation in the widening ranges of the nodes could not be calculated, as road widths and lanes are usually not consistent. For the line network closure, it was therefore necessary to close the intersection range between the calculation results. For pre-construction measures, the target load classes in the line representation are therefore only suitable to a limited extent, in nodes a detailed consideration is mandatory. The data set explicitly reflects only the target load class and not necessarily the actual load class currently present on the respective road.
