Dataset description

In the context of the Flood Risk Management Directive (HWRM-RL) 2. Cycle 2016-2021 was carried out for 3 scenarios HQhaef (frequently/high), HQ100 (medium/medium), HQextrem (rare/low) modelling of water levels. The water depths shown can be distinguished into four areas.1) Hydraulicly calculated water depths in risk areas.2) Hydraulically calculated water depths outside of risk areas (informal representation).3) Protected areas behind flood protection systems with a rated water level higher than the reported load case.4) Protected areas behind flood protection systems with a rated water level lower than the reported load case. The protected areas have not been calculated hydraulically, but have been roughly determined for orientation purposes. These data are also available in the INSPIRE data model “Annex 3: Areas with natural risks”. The provision is made via the Federal Institute for Water Studies (BfG) via presentation and download service, the URLs of which are specified in the transfer options.
