Dataset description

Landmælingar Íslands varðveita mikið af heimildum um legu marka sveitarfélaga á Íslandi. Á vefsíðunni um heimildir sveitarfélagamarka, https://atlas.lmi.is/mork_heimildir, er hægt að nálgast heimildirnar á núverandi IS 50V mörkum sveitarfélaga sem og á eldri sveitarfélagamörkum á einfaldan hátt. Ef smellt er á línu þá birtist dálkur og ef er smellt á dálkinn heimild þá birtist tengill annað hvort á pdf eða jpg formati. Heimildirnar birtast nákvæmlega eins og þau líta út í skjalasafni Landmælinga Íslands. Skjölin geta verið hæstaréttardómar, samkomulag á milli sveitarfélaga, handskrifuð skjöl (t.d. gömul landamerkjaskjöl), teikningar sem hafa verið teiknað á kort Landmælinga Íslands svo eitthvað sé nefnt. Á nokkrum stöðum (aðallega á jöklum) eru engar heimildir.
