Dataset description

In two situations, there is a surface water extraction for the public water supply in the province of North Brabant. It concerns the Damaged Meuse from which Dunea takes water and the Amer from which Evides takes water. In this case, the quality of the surface water from which abstraction for human consumption takes place must be avoided. If a calamity occurs close to the intake point, timely closing is not always possible. Therefore, the River Area Management Plan for Maas establishes protection zones, which require additional protection. The zones for both intake points in North Brabant can be found in the Environmental Regulation of the Province of North Brabant.
