Dataset description

NGU’s bedrock data shows the extent of rocks and rock structures on the Earth’s surface. the quarry data in bedrock N250 are mainly based on the nationwide printed bedrock geological map series on a scale 1:250,000. The entire data set is later harmonised over map sheet boundaries and updated with newer available map data. the dataset provides information about the geological properties of rocks and structures (including the main rock, age of formation and tectonic subdivision for rock surfaces and structure names and kinematic type of structures).
