Dataset description

Article 3 of Law 34/1998 of 7 October 1998 on the Hydrocarbons Sector establishes that the administrative powers relating to the granting of authorisations for hydrocarbon exploration and research permits are vested in the Autonomous Communities, when it affects their territorial scope. Article 16 of that law provides for the creation of a register in which the most revealing data of the investigation permits shall be recorded. The Mine Service created an information layer with the most important administrative data from research permits, along with their geographical location.
