Dataset description

The Corona Commission is an advisory body providing an evidence-based risk assessment of the COVID-19 situation in Austria. It consists of scientists and “risk managers” of the federal and federal states. This ensures that different perspectives from science and practice in the assessment of risk can flow in. The risk assessment of the Corona Commission is based on data on infection events (such as case numbers, source search, tests and hospitalisations) and additional qualitative criteria. The classification is based on a 5-level traffic light logic in very low, low, medium, high and very high risk. The risk assessment map shall be published on the website corona-ampel.gv.at as soon as possible after the Commission meeting. The data bases are also available there. In addition, information on the data bases and the Commission’s assessment can be found on the website. The website corona-ampel.gv.at also informs the population about current requirements and measures of the Austrian authorities for all social and economic sectors at regional level. Measures may apply to the entire federal territory, individual states or districts. The data will be updated every Friday, expected at 12:00.
