Dataset description

Forest restoration measures are implemented in the management zone of the Gesäuse National Park. Forest areas are transferred to a more natural state by the targeted and controlled extraction of spruce in particular with regard to the tree species composition. On the basis of selected sub-areas, the development is documented as part of a monitoring system or the achievement of the target is to be evaluated. The object of the order was forest monitoring based on test points in the Gesäuse National Park. The first survey was carried out in 2016. Following the implementation of the actions in 2017, a follow-up was carried out in summer 2018.
