Dataset description

As part of an evaluation seminar on the assessment of the completeness of the Austrian Natura 2000 network between the European Commission and the Länder with the participation of various stakeholders, habitat types 6250 “Pannonian steppe dry grasslands on loess” and 91M0 “Pannonian Balconian fragmentation and grape oak forests” were assessed as “IN MIN” (required for renomination in existing areas if representative occurrences are confirmed). The LRT 8220 “silicate rocks with crevice vegetation” was used with SR (scientific reserve; Occurrences are classified for their existence to u & 776;berpru & 776;fen). This study was intended to clarify the occurrences of the mentioned LRTs in Burgenland, namely the LRT 6250 at the Kalvarienberg near Neusiedl am See (European Protected Area Neusiedler See Northeastern Leithagebirge), LRT 91M0 in the Europe Protected Area Bernstein-Lockenhaus-Rechnitz and LRT 8220 in the Mattersburger Hu & 776;gelland European Protected Area. The following questions were dealt with: Do the habitat types at issue occur in the above-mentioned European Protected Areas with sufficient significance, so that it is in any event necessary to be included as a protective material in the areas concerned? What nature conservation value do the deposits have in terms of their representation and conservation status? (Assessment based on the criteria applicable to & 776;r standard data sheets) On behalf of the Burgenland State Government
