Dataset description

This report summarises the results of the air quality measurements of the federal states and the Federal Environment Agency: In 2015, the limit values for nitrogen dioxide were exceeded in seven federal states on heavy roads. Fine dust exceeded limit values in Styria and Graz. Due to the warm high summer, ozone pollution was well above the long-term average, which led to large-scale exceedances of the target values. Some measuring stations in Carinthia and Styria exceeded the limit value of benzo(a)pyrene. More attention will continue to be paid to this pollutant in the future. There were occasional exceedances in nitrogen oxides, sulphur dioxide and dust precipitation. The limit values and targets for carbon monoxide, PM2.5, heavy metals and benzene were met in 2015.
