Basic document — Developing a circular economy strategy.

In this study, the basis for the preparation of the Austrian Circular Economy Strategy will be prepared. International benchmarks, such as the Paris Agreement, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the European Green Deal and the Circular Economy Action Plan, as well as national strategies and programmes, form the framework for this strategy. Based on these guidelines, the thematic priorities for the strategy were derived and the most effective levers and scope for action for Austria along the value chain were identified.These foundations formed the basis for a transparent stakeholder process in which concrete measures for the transformation to a circular economy were developed.
