Dataset description

In 2013, a book printer monitoring with 20 pheromone traps was carried out by the University of Natural Resources in Gesäuse National Park. By-catch evaluation by the ÖKOTEAM (i.e. without book printers, copper cutters and the common ant colored beetle as the most important bark beetle counter-player) resulted in 146 beetles, 35 bugs, 16 cicadas, 14 spiders and 2 weaver knitting species. Among the beetles there are only a few more bark beetles antagonists. Well-known predators of Scolytinae are the black-brown ant colorful beetle and two bark glossy beetle species. A bedbug species specialising in bark beetle, the Beautiful Saw Leg, was detected in 32 specimens. The animals live in the beetles, where they suck eggs, larvae and dolls.
