Dataset description

Adaptation to climate change is, in addition to climate protection, the most important pillar of climate policy. In order to address the effects of climate change, measures to adapt to climate change are therefore also needed. In 2009, an online survey was conducted by the Federal Environment Agency on the website www.klimawandelanpassung.at over a period of four months in order to obtain public assessments and opinions on climate change and adaptation. 1162 contributions were evaluated. The results show that there is a need for action at different levels, from policy to individual. In addition to the detailed presentation of the results, the report describes how the survey is involved in the participation process for the preparation of the strategy for adaptation to climate change.
