Dataset description

In the report “Emission trends 1990-2020”, the Federal Environment Agency provides an overview of the anthropogenic, i.e. man-made, air pollutant emissions in Austria: — Dust — Total floating dust and particulate matter — Ozone precursor substances — Nitrogen oxides, volatile hydrocarbons without methane and carbon monoxide — acidifying and over-fertilising air pollutants — Sulfur dioxide, ammonia and nitrogen oxides — Heavy metals — Cadmium, mercury and lead — Persistent organic pollutants Trends and main pollutants are analysed and current emission data are compared to mandatory environmental targets. The data is based on the results of the Austrian Air Pollutant Inventory, which the Federal Environment Agency prepares annually.
