Dataset description

Classification of waters or sections of water: Not a fish habitat are water sections that cannot be permanently inhabited by fish. Potential fish habitats are sections of rivers that have not been achievable from rivers for fish but which can form a self-sustaining stock by restocking (i.e. initial stocking). Natural fish habitats are waters or stretches of water that were able to permit the formation of an aquatic-type, self-sustaining fish stock without human intervention around the middle of the 19th century.
