Dataset description

The focus of this study is on the medium to long-term development of the river landscape in the two Natura 2000 areas Pürgschachen-Moos and close areas between Selzthal and Gesäuse entrance as well as Ennstal Alps/Gesäuse. On the one hand, the action plans for the selected areas must be drawn up in accordance with the requirements of the European Water Framework Directive (WFD) or the 1959 WRG and, on the other hand, to coordinate with the Natura 2000 management plans already drawn up. In particular, the development of a natural or natural habitat spectrum as a basis for the formerly typical biocenosis of the Enns river landscape is in the foreground. Subsequently, the results of the study serve as an essential basis for the selection and detailed planning of restoration projects in the investigated areas of the Enns river landscape.
