Pilot Study 4 — Environmental Data from Aquaculture.

Pilot Study 4 aims to develop methods within three modules to expand the data base in the field of aquaculture. The first module developed a method for recording the ecosystem services of aquaculture in Austria. Potential ecosystem services were presented separately for the two types of pond and flow system and potential additional services of a circuit system. The second module focused on the experimental approach “AquaOtter” (performed at BOKU), which investigated the predation pressure of otters. The third module was devoted to the disclosure of barriers and potentials of increasing production, as well as the assessment of drug use and mortality levels through interviews and surveys.
