Dataset description

The Enns between the Entrance of the Gesäuse and the Gstatterboden is characterised by large alluvial fans of its tributaries and an active remodeling of the river channel. At the same time there are important sections where the river course has been changed and the banks have been armored. This mainly occurred during the construction of the road and the railway line. The study describes these anthropogenic modifications and discusses options to reverse the interventions without jeopardising the traffic infrastructure.
