Dataset description

Settlement boundaries: Limitation of building land or dedication methods having an equivalent effect to maintain a functional settlement network, the recreational value of the landscape, a functioning agricultural and forestry system and to prevent conflicts of use in the foresight. According to the Ordinances on a regROP Vienna Surroundings Northeast and Northwest Ew. Section 5 distinguishes two types of settlement boundaries: according to Z 1 Linear settlement boundaries: they may not be exceeded in the case of new building land extensions or at the dedication of grassland small gardens or grassland campsites. according to Z 2 Area settlement boundaries: flat settlement boundaries, which completely enclose existing settlement areas, mean that the amount of building land already dedicated therein (including any traffic areas) must not be increased. However, in order to improve the settlement structure, it is permissible to close building land gaps. Furthermore, this area may be rounded off if the dedication of an additional building land area is compensated by the reversal of an area of the same size, not built with a main building, in a building land area completely enclosed by a flat settlement border. According to the Regulation on a regROP Wien Surroundings North § 5(1), two types of settlement boundaries are distinguished: according to lit. a Linear settlement boundaries: they may not be exceeded in the case of new building land extensions or at the dedication of grassland small gardens or grassland campsites. according to lit b Area settlement boundaries: flat settlement boundaries, which completely enclose existing settlement areas, mean that the amount of building land already dedicated therein and the amount of land with the dedication of grassland small gardens or grassland campsites (including any traffic areas) cannot be increased in the respective category. However, in order to improve the settlement structure, it is permissible to close building land gaps. Furthermore, this area may be rounded off if the dedication of an additional building land area is compensated by the reversal of an area of the same size, not built with a main building, in a building land area completely enclosed by a flat settlement border. In the dedication types grassland small gardens and grassland campsites, this is also permitted if the respective exchange takes place in the same type of grassland application.
