Sustainability under observation

Sustainability stands for a development that meets the needs of today’s generation without jeopardising the possibility of future generations to meet their own needs (uteri, 2006). The definition of sustainability manifests itself in an ever-growing dimension on more and more areas of life. Prevention and precautions are also playing an increasingly important role. The focus of our work was on the application of an innovative monitoring concept and its practical feasibility based on a company our choice. We chose the National Park Gesäuse GmbH to get a closer insight into the working and functioning of a national park. It seemed to us not only of personal, but possibly of future interest. This assumption has been further confirmed in the course of the work. The Gesäuse National Park, or the National Park Gesäuse GmbH, are committed to modern and cooperative nature conservation. In addition to the legally enshrined tasks of nature conservation and environmental education, we also want to continue the tradition of gentle tourism.
