The area of administrative entities corresponds to the geometric measurement of the surface of planet Earth within administrative boundaries, according to a geographical projection system. In Belgium, since 01/01/2018, the authentic source of administrative boundaries is the FPS Finance/AGDP via its CADGIS database which allows the calculation of the area of administrative entities.
