Dataset description

The analysis of gravimetric data in the context of research into the Brabant Massif was carried out in 2004 by the British Geological Survey in collaboration with GF Consult bvba and the Belgian Geological Service under the supervision of GF Consult. The study was commissioned by the Department of Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE), Department of Economics, Employment, Internal Affairs and Agriculture of the Ministry of the Flemish Community (VLA04-3.1). The study was integrated into the previous study on the aeromagnetic data of the Brabant Massif. This map shows the first vertical derivative of the Bouguer anomaly. Minima and maxima in the vertical gradient occur above local extremes in Bouguer gravity. The colours on the map range from dark blue (-0.00728 mGal) over deep green (0.00019 mGal) to red (0.00663 mGal).
