Ecotop Vulnerability Cards for Flanders Version 2-2020

Based on the abiotic location requirements of the ecotopes, a sensitivity for each ecotope is linked to the environmental pressures dehydration, eutrophication and acidification. This results in a degree of vulnerability to these impact groups. Ecotopes that are very sensitive to a certain environmental pressure and are also biologically valuable are very vulnerable. Through the link with the Biological Assessment Map, the vulnerability of ecotopes to the three environmental prints is spatially located. The method is therefore suitable for the environmental assessment of location alternatives.
