Dataset description

For the deposition of heavy metals, there are only limits and/or guide values for lead and cadmium in Flemish legislation. This standardisation applies to the annual average of 4 jars placed according to the VLAREM measurement strategy. As of 2015, the VMM follows the European standard for the sampling of heavy metals in total deposition. This sampling method differs from the method in VLAREM. This means that only an indicative review can be carried out. In 2017 and 2018, the VMM will carry out comparative measurements to see if an adjustment of the VLAREM standardisation is necessary. The results are currently available until October 2017.
