Dataset description

The map of the infiltration-sensitive soils for the purposes of the water test was drawn up in order to identify areas in which rainwater can be relatively easily infiltrated into the subsurface. Infiltration of rainwater into groundwater is important because it reduces the superficial flow and thus also the risk of water pollution. Moreover, infiltration ensures the replenishment of groundwater resources and thus prevents dehydration of aquifers and water-dependent nature.
