Dataset description

Visual counting is carried out in October by station staff (Infrabel) and train support staff (SNCB) for 9 consecutive days: 5 working days framed from 2 weekends. The method is to increase the number of passengers mounted and descended for all trains in the domestic service and at all stations and stops. The key indicator gives the number of passengers mounted per station located in the territory of the municipality (it is the geographical location of the station that takes precedence over its administrative location), the average number of passengers on trains for a working day (Monday to Friday, listed under the column “week”), for a Saturday and for a Sunday.
