Poldergralands

The GIS layer contains the historical permanent grasslands (HPG) in the agricultural region of Polders, including their protection status, as approved by the VR on 27/11/2015. Part of this HPG is protected under natural law (Articles 7 and 8 of the BVR of 23/07/1998). The other HPG is protected under agricultural legislation. The HPG protected by nature legislation is also protected under agricultural legislation. The “status” field indicates the HPG protection status. The HPG covered by nature legislation is either prohibited to amend (‘prohibition’) or to be licensed (‘authorisation’). The HPG not covered by nature legislation was used as a basis for identifying the ecologically vulnerable permanent pasture (EKBG) under the agricultural parcel registration. This HPG is therefore protected under agricultural legislation. The HPG covered by natural legislation was also used as a basis for the designation of EKBG.
