Dataset description
The isopach map of the quartary deposits is part of the quartary mapping of Flanders. Isopachen are lines of equal thickness of quartary deposits. The thickness lines form an overlay of the litho profile type card. The systematic mapping of the quartary geological layer on a scale of 1:50000 in Flanders, commissioned by the Flemish Region, was started in 1993. This card is a compilation of the isopach maps of the various individual maps per map sheet. Dune lines and fault lines are also included in this isopach map because they have a relationship with the isopach lines.
