These shopping streets were thus determined on the basis of a three-year admission by Entrepreneurship and Stadsmarketing of the commercial business in the Antwerp shopping streets (2004, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016). For more detailed information on the measurements, please refer to: ‘Measurement of the Antwerp Shopping Streets 2016’, Entrepreneurship and City Marketing/Business and Innovation. The map distinguishes the following types of shopping centres: Shopping heart: shopping areas with the greatest upper-local attraction; City District Centres: large, upper-local and locally attractive store concentrations that do not connect directly to the main shopping centre or heart; District centers: commercial centres that are particularly local caring Job shops or job shopping centres: shopping ribbons along roads, characterised by large sales areas, good accessibility and easy parking facilities.
