Geographical grid data set representing the soil cover in Flanders and Brussels, condition 2001.Bodem cover is the biophysical state of the earth’s surface. Originally, the term only referred to the vegetation that covered the soil, but human structures such as cultivation are also classified as soil cover.The soil cover stock was derived from 3 LANDSAT-7 ETM+ satellite images from the year 2001 using a semi-automatic classification.The ground resolution is 15 m, the soil cover is divided into 9 classes.
