Total level of provision per ha — condition 2019

This map shows for each location of 1 ha in the Flemish and Brussels-Capital regions the total level of provision on a scale of 0 to 1, as a result of the calculation of the proximity (according to specified parameters) of facilities of the following 3 types: basic provision, regional facility, metropolitan facility, and this for reference year 2019. The calculation is based on the location of the individual facilities and then determines which ha-cells are within walking or cycling distance of the totality of the facilities. In several steps (1) the devices are aggregated into a content-technically processable set, (2) weighted according to their number in the vicinity, and (3) distance-weighted. A total of 50 different aggregated provisions are mapped, divided into four classes: education, culture and sport, care and housing support facilities. The facilities in Brussels were supplemented, where possible, by information from the Territorial Development Agency (ATO, 2010).
