Dataset description

The ‘Warmtekaart Vlaanderen’ was drawn up on behalf of the Flemish Energy Agency to implement the EU Directive 2012/27/EU on energy efficiency. The main products are maps with heat demand and heat supply for the current situation (2012) and a map with promising areas for heat recovery and heating networks in the future, both for the territory of Flanders. The study was carried out by VITO in collaboration with the distribution system operators Eandis and Infrax. You can consult the accompanying report here: www.energiesparen.be/warmtekaart . — General description: The potential of industrial residual heat is shown for large industrial point sources (IMJV-mandatory companies). For the smaller companies, the residual heat is not estimated, since we assume that the residual heat has too low a temperature for valorisation (below 80 °C). For more background information, refer to the report. This section contains two card layers: Title (1):Provided residual heat 80-120 °C from large industry (2012) Card layer name (1):er_aanb_gr_ind_restheat_80_120_ptn_2012 Description (1): The residual heat potential per holding for the temperature range between 80 and 120 °C is represented by 3 classes. Title (2): Offer of residual heat 120-200 °C, from large industry (2012) Name card layer (2):er_aanb_gr_ind_restheat_120_200_ptn_2012 Description (2): The residual heat potential per holding for the temperature range between 120 and 200 °C is shown by 3 classes.
