Results of the election of members of the Council of National Minorities and elections of representatives of national minorities

The data published contain the results of the elections for members of the Council of National Minorities and of the elections of representatives of national minorities in 2019. The Republic of Croatia guarantees members of national minorities the right to be represented in representative bodies of local and regional self-government units. With the aim of improving, preserving and protecting the position of national minorities in society, members of national minorities elect, in the manner and under the conditions of the Constitutional Law on the Rights of National Minorities, their representatives for participation in public life and the management of local affairs through councils and representatives of national minorities in self-government units. Members of national minority councils and representatives of national minorities shall be elected directly in the elections, by secret ballot, for a term of four years. The elections are held simultaneously, on the first Sunday in May every fourth year, and are announced by the Government of the Republic of Croatia.
