Dataset description

Results of electromagnetic field measurements carried out on all installed mobile telephony stations (Cyta and Epic), seated at all installed digital television stations. The measurements were carried out by competent organisations on behalf of mobile telephony and digital television companies and were sampled and tested by the Department of Electronic Communications. The purpose of the measurements is to assess the exposure of the public from the broadcasts of mobile and digital television stations. The methodology used is that described in the CEPT/ECC/REC/(02)04 Recommendation entitled ‘Measuring Non-Ionising electromagnetic Radiation (9 kHz — 300 GHz)’. The results of the measurements have been processed as defined in the European Union Recommendation on ‘Council Recommendation 1999/519/EC of 12 July 1999 on the limitation of public exposure to electromagnetic fields (0 Hz — 300 GHz)’. Measurement data shall also include the contribution of other electromagnetic field sources to the area where each station is installed in the frequency range 30 MHz — 3 GHz (television, radio and other). The data for each station shall also include a comparison of the measurements with the reference levels given by Recommendation 1999/519/EC which have been adopted as National Exposure Limits.
