Dataset description
The data set contains existing permits for the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons pursuant to section 5(1) of the Act on the use of Denmark’s underground. The dataset is updated ad hoc and is available as a shape file with polygons. The boundaries of authorisations are defined by geographical coordinates based on the 1950 European Datum. In the shape file, data is projected in UTM zone 32 N based on ED 50. Further information on the permits can be found on the Energy Agency’s website and in the Agency’s annual report on “Denmark’s oil and gas production, as well as other uses of the underground”.
