Dataset description

Static theme. Shows data for the final Natura2000 plan 2022, which is the revised Natura 2000 baseline analysis 2022-2027 underlying the 2021 consultation of Natura 2000 plans 2022-2027. The theme shows position data for fishing vessels with non-bottom trolling gears within the Natura 2000 areas. Position data for fishing vessels with non-bottom trolling gears are recorded for pelagic trawl vessels including purse seine fishing in the period 2013-2018. The potential fishing is shown on the map with AIS (Automatic Identification System) data. AIS data is shown at varying frequencies as low as every two seconds. The points shown are for a given speed of the vessel where it is assumed that fishing can take place.
