Cedefop skill supply and demand forecasts provide comprehensive information on the future labour market trends in Europe. The forecasts act as an early warning mechanism to help to alleviate potential labour market imbalances and support different labour market actors in making informed decisions. Employment refers to the number of people in work (headcount) or the number of occupied jobs in the economy. As employed is considered the one who worked at least one hour in reference period for financial or non-financial reward. Employment trends present the development of the employed persons in different sector, occupations and qualification.
