Dataset description

The Directorate-General for Development launched this special Eurobarometer survey in order to evaluate European public opinion on development issues in general and on European development aid in particular. This survey follows on from a series of urobarometer surveys on European development aid, although the questionnaire has been substantially changed since the last survey in 2004, that was conducted in the then 25 Member States of the EU. The fieldwork of this study was conducted between 14 February and 18 March 2007 in the 27 Member States of the European Union. The report consists of three chapters dealing with the following themes: • General perceptions of development aid: main motivations and target areas; • Familiarity with policy initiatives: The Millennium Development Goals and the European Consensus on Development; • The EU as a development aid actor: advantages, actions and decision making. #####The results by volumes are distributed as follows: * Volume A: Countries * Volume AA: Groups of countries * Volume A' (AP): Trends * Volume AA' (AAP): Trends of groups of countries * Volume B: EU/socio-demographics * Volume B' (BP) : Trends of EU/ socio-demographics * Volume C: Country/socio-demographics ---- Researchers may also contact GESIS - Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences: [https://www.gesis.org/eurobarometer](https://www.gesis.org/eurobarometer)
