Dataset description

This report brings together the results of the Special Eurobarometer public opinion survey on “cyber security” in the EU27 countries and Croatia. The aim of this survey is to understand EU citizens’ experiences and perceptions of cyber security issues. The survey examines the frequency and type of internet use that EU citizens have; their confidence about internet transactions; their awareness and experience of cybercrimes; and the level of concern that they feel about this type of crime. The findings from this survey update a previous survey which was carried out in March 2012 (Special Eurobarometer 390). The 2013 survey repeats most of the questions asked in 2012 in order to provide insight into the evolution of knowledge, behaviour and attitudes towards cyber security in the European Union. #####The results by volumes are distributed as follows: * Volume A: Countries * Volume AA: Groups of countries * Volume A' (AP): Trends * Volume AA' (AAP): Trends of groups of countries * Volume B: EU/socio-demographics * Volume B' (BP) : Trends of EU/ socio-demographics * Volume C: Country/socio-demographics ---- Researchers may also contact GESIS - Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences: [https://www.gesis.org/eurobarometer](https://www.gesis.org/eurobarometer)
