Dataset description

This study first establishes how secure European citizens feel and the impact of various factors on this feeling. It then aims to identify what they regard as the main security threats to the EU, and the way in which these threats may be evolving. Finally, the study goes on to consider which organisations or institutions are best placed to address these challenges, and whether these groups are doing a good job in tackling security threats. Additionally, respondents consider whether there has been a price to pay in terms of personal freedom so that governments can effectively fight terrorists and criminals, and whether new technologies might improve – or undermine – the security of European citizens. #####The results by volumes are distributed as follows: * Volume A: Countries * Volume AA: Groups of countries * Volume A' (AP): Trends * Volume AA' (AAP): Trends of groups of countries * Volume B: EU/socio-demographics * Volume B' (BP) : Trends of EU/ socio-demographics * Volume C: Country/socio-demographics ---- Researchers may also contact GESIS - Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences: [https://www.gesis.org/eurobarometer](https://www.gesis.org/eurobarometer)
