Standard Eurobarometer 93: Summer 2020

Summer 2020 Standard Eurobarometer survey (EB93), was carried out in 34 countries or territories: the 27 European Union (EU) Member States, the United Kingdom, five candidate countries (the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey, Montenegro, Serbia and Albania) and the Turkish Cypriot Community in the part of the country that is not controlled by the government of the Republic of Cyprus. The fieldwork took place between the 9th of July and the 26th of August 2020 in the EU27 Member States and between the 10th of July and the 10th of August 2020 in the other countries and territories. Exceptionally, this Standard Eurobarometer survey was conducted during summer (July-August) instead of spring because of the coronavirus pandemic and in some countries, alternative interview modes to face-to-face were necessary as a result of the situation. The survey includes topics such as the European political situation and the economic situation. It analyses how Europeans perceive their political institutions, both national governments and parliaments, the EU and its institutions as well as their main concerns. It also examines people's attitudes on European citizenship and on issues linked to key policy areas.
