The data is available on e.g: - Statutory provision on the right of child (suspected) offenders to information in a child-friendly format - that takes into account any special needs of the child - about rights, charges and procedures from the child's first contact with a competent authority; - Availability of information in a child-friendly format for child (suspected) offenders about rights, charges and procedures in police stations and other competent authorities across the country; - Evidence (e.g. via reporting ) that child (suspected) offenders understood their rights, the charges brought against them for the criminal justice process; - Evidence (e.g. via reporting ) that child (suspected) offenders understood the procedures for the criminal justice process; - Proportion of children who understood their rights; - Proportion of children who understood the charges made against them; - Proportion of children informed of the procedures; - Proportion of children who had a lawyer present during interviews; - Proportion of children who had a parent or other responsible adult present during interviews; - Statutory provision on the right of child victims, the holder of parental responsibility or other legal representative to information about rights and procedures from the child's first contact with a competent authority.
