Dataset description
This raster dataset (grid cells of 1 km² size) provides data on road transport performance in Europe. The package contains three rasters: (1) Accessibility, defined as the number of inhabitants that can be reached within 1h30 by car; (2) Proximity, defined as the number of people living within a 120 km radius; (3) Transport performance, defined as the ratio of accessibility divided by proximity x 100. The methodology used to create the grids is described in a specific working paper.
