<br/> Activation time (UTC): 2022-07-20 11:54:00<br/> Event time (UTC): 2022-07-18 12:00:00<br/> Event type: Wildfire (Forest fire)<br/> <br/> Activation reason: <br/> Since the afternoon of 18 July, a large fire has been affecting the woods around the Bozzano locality of Massarosa, in the province of Lucca. The fire-front is several kilometres long and has burned about 60 hectares of forest and Mediterranean bush. The fire is still ongoing. National and regional civil protection systems were activated to respond with helicopters, a Canadair and at least 50 firefighting teams on the ground. Ash from the fire has also reached the seaside town of Viareggio. The A1 highway is closed for precautionary purposes in the Lucca-Viareggio section. Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping is requested to provide first estimate, daily delineation monitoring, and grading analysis.<br/> <br/> Reference products: 0<br/> Delineation products: 1<br/> Grading products: 2<br/> <br/> Copernicus Emergency Management Service - Mapping is a service funded by European Commission aimed at providing actors in the management of natural and man-made disasters, in particular Civil Protection Authorities and Humanitarian Aid actors, with mapping products based on satellite imagery.<br/>
