<br/> Activation time (UTC): 2022-08-05 08:39:00<br/> Event time (UTC): 2022-08-03 23:00:00<br/> Event type: Wildfire (Forest fire)<br/> <br/> Activation reason: <br/> A Forest Fire was ignited in a storage facility/ blasting area for explosive ordnances in Grunewald Forest (south-western Berlin) early 04 August. Countless explosions of the stored ordnances caused the fire to spread to 50 ha and significantly impede fighting the fire. Fire extinguishing robots are deployed to enter the endangered area of 1,000 m around the facility. Local fire brigades are supported by several units including THW, police, relief units and the German armed forces. Nevertheless, the fire is expected to continue for several days. The Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping Service is requested to produce First Estimate, Delineation monitoring and Grading products.<br/> <br/> Reference products: 0<br/> Delineation products: 1<br/> Grading products: 1<br/> <br/> Copernicus Emergency Management Service - Mapping is a service funded by European Commission aimed at providing actors in the management of natural and man-made disasters, in particular Civil Protection Authorities and Humanitarian Aid actors, with mapping products based on satellite imagery.<br/>
